Detailed Itinerary
Arrival at Haridwar / Dehradun — Transfer to Barkot
Arrive at Haridwar or Dehradun. Meet and greet by our representative. Proceed to Barkot — the base for Yamunotri Dham (approximately 7–8 hours). En route pass through Mussoorie and the scenic Yamuna Valley. Check-in to hotel. Overnight in Barkot.
Barkot — Yamunotri Dham Darshan
Early morning drive to Janki Chatti. Trek approximately 6 km to Yamunotri Temple — the source of the sacred Yamuna River and first dham on the circuit. The trek passes through the Hanuman Ganga gorge with waterfalls and natural hot springs. Darshan at the Yamunotri Temple. Return trek to Janki Chatti. Transfer back to Barkot. Overnight in Barkot.
Barkot to Uttarkashi
After breakfast, proceed to Uttarkashi (approximately 4–5 hours). Drive through the picturesque Yamuna and Bhagirathi river valleys. Uttarkashi is itself a sacred town on the banks of the Bhagirathi — visit the Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple in the evening. Overnight in Uttarkashi.
Uttarkashi — Gangotri Dham Darshan
Drive to Gangotri (approximately 4 hours) — the second dham on the circuit, set at 3,100 metres on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, close to the source of the Ganga. Darshan at the Gangotri Temple and a sacred dip at the Gangotri Ghat. Optional visit to Surya Kund and Brahma Kund nearby. Return to Uttarkashi. Overnight in Uttarkashi.
Uttarkashi to Guptkashi / Phata
After breakfast, proceed to Guptkashi or Phata — the base town for Kedarnath (approximately 7–8 hours). The drive is scenic, passing through Tehri, Devprayag and the Rudraprayag confluence. Check-in to hotel. Evening visit to Guptkashi's Vishwanath and Ardh Nareshwar temples. Overnight in Guptkashi or Phata.
Kedarnath — Darshan — Return to Base
Early morning departure for Kedarnath. Travel to the Kedarnath base (Sonprayag / Gaurikund). Ascend to Kedarnath — by helicopter (optional, subject to availability and weather) or by trek of approximately 16 km. Kedarnath Temple stands at 3,583 metres, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and the most sacred of the Char Dham. Darshan at the ancient stone temple. Return to base by evening. Overnight in Guptkashi or Phata.
Guptkashi to Badrinath via Joshimath
After breakfast, proceed to Badrinath — the final and most revered dham (approximately 8–9 hours). The route follows the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers through Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag and Joshimath. En route visit Narsingh Temple at Joshimath. Arrive Badrinath by evening. Check-in to hotel. Optional evening aarti at the Badrinath Temple. Overnight in Badrinath.
Badrinath — Mana Village — Badrinath Aarti
Morning darshan at Badrinath Temple — dedicated to Lord Vishnu and set against the dramatic backdrop of the Neelkanth Peak. Proceed to Mana Village — the last inhabited village before the Tibet border, just 3 km from Badrinath. Visit Vyas Gufa (cave where sage Vyas composed the Mahabharata), Ganesh Gufa and the Saraswati River. Evening: attend the deeply moving Badrinath Temple aarti. Overnight in Badrinath.
Badrinath to Rudraprayag / Srinagar Garhwal
After breakfast, begin the journey back. Drive to Rudraprayag or Srinagar Garhwal (approximately 5–6 hours). Rudraprayag is the sacred confluence of the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Rudraprayag or Srinagar Garhwal.
Rudraprayag to Rishikesh — Ganga Aarti
Morning drive to Rishikesh (approximately 3–4 hours). En route visit Devprayag — where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the Ganga. Check-in to hotel. Evening attend the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat — a magnificent and deeply spiritual ceremony on the banks of the holy river. Overnight in Rishikesh.
Rishikesh / Haridwar Sightseeing — Har Ki Pauri
Morning visit to the spiritual landmarks of Rishikesh — Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula and the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple. Afternoon drive to Haridwar — one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism. Attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri — watching the lamps float on the Ganga at dusk is one of the most profound experiences of the entire yatra. Overnight in Rishikesh or Haridwar.
Departure from Haridwar / Dehradun
After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport. The Char Dham Yatra concludes with blessings from all four sacred dhams and memories that will last a lifetime.

- Travel insurance (strongly recommended for high-altitude pilgrimage)

⚠️ Important Notes
- Kedarnath helicopter services are subject to weather conditions, government permits and availability — they must be booked well in advance, especially during peak season (May–June). We assist with helicopter booking as an add-on. Be prepared for the alternative trek if helicopter services are disrupted.
- Char Dham Yatra registration is mandatory for all pilgrims. We handle this as part of the package. Please share valid ID proof of all travellers at the time of booking.
- This is a high-altitude pilgrimage — Kedarnath is at 3,583 m and Badrinath at 3,300 m. Altitude sickness is possible. We recommend consulting your doctor before travel, especially for senior travellers and those with heart or respiratory conditions.
- The yatra season runs from May to October. Temples are closed in winter (November–April) and the exact opening dates are announced by the temple committees each year — we will confirm dates at the time of booking.
- Pony, doli (palanquin) and palki services at Yamunotri and Kedarnath are not included in the package and are paid directly on-site. We recommend arrangements in advance for senior travellers and those with limited mobility.
- This package is fully customisable — pace, accommodation category and optional helicopter upgrades can all be adjusted to suit your group's needs and budget.
